Team Swapping Policy in Event Registrations

The following policy was instituted for the 2022-2023 competition season in order to ensure fair and equitable access to events for teams on event waitlists.

  • During Standard Registration: if the event is full, only teams that have registered for two or fewer events are eligible to be swapped from that organization.
  • REC Foundation staff will have the ability to manually override this policy if a certain situation warrants an exception, but it would not be the expectation that teams would be allowed to swap if they are ineligible.  Therefore, these exceptions would be rare.
  • New for the 2023-2024 Season:
    • Team swapping is not allowed within 2 weeks of an event.
